The Kehilla of Westcliff needs your help to secure a much needed talmud torah building.
The school and cheder have been housed in the same premises up until now. Having outgrown the old premises by far, the current situation is dire with no room for the new kindergarten class hence they havent opened, no garden space for fresh air and no extra offices for additional groups or sen sessions. All this is really inhibiting the potential of each individual talmid and cannot be allowed to remain this way.
Hope. A suitable building was found which upon research had belonged to the local Jewish community in Westcliff dating back to 1918! At the time, its purpose was a shul and later an after school cheider only to be sold due to dwindling size. Even the holes in the doorposts which originally held the Mezuzos are still visible. This building which ticks all the boxes in terms of a comfortable spacious educational institution needs to be brought back into Yiddish hands! It needs to continue its purpose of bringing up children leTorah and Yiras Shomayim.
One Million Pounds. The building, over 470 square metres, has 12 classrooms and 3 separate play areas. The askonim involved have been working tirelessly to secure the building and raise the needed funds but are still in need of £250,000 in order to complete.
It is with your generous donation today, that they will be able to complete this vital project and give our children the most beautiful chinuch they truly deserve.
Thank you in advance and tisku l'mitsvos!!
